Have you ever become aware of contentment folding around you like a wonderful cloud, and you know with certainty that you are in the right place, perfectly positioned for what the Universe has planned? Regardless of how minuscule you feel compared to the endless Universe, that inner rightness signals correctness and gives comfort. It’s like soft music improving a slightly hostile ambiance.
Serenity is like being placid and peaceful; however, the feeling will not last because tranquility and peacefulness are not end goals. That feeling of correctness is a road sign telling us we are on the correct path to our fulfillment—a guidepost, if you will, encouraging us to continue in the chosen direction. That path is different for each of us. It belongs only to you.
A conglomerate of vibrations in the Universe creates both music and life alike, and good music exemplifies change. There are no exalted signs to give us directions. Although your chosen belief system might take a stab at it, be it religion, science, a firm belief, or disbelief; these usually have dogmatic rules. Individually, though, we get brief encouragement and inner contentment from our Fundamental self, telling us we are striving in the right direction, wherever it takes us. There is a potential problem with that, though. Occasionally, our orientation might contradict the belief system we’ve agreed to. When that happens, we face a crux where our true selves appear, a cusp where we choose what we will become.
That rightness you feel doesn’t mean that life at that point abruptly becomes easy or trouble-free. No. Difficulties appear nearly as a mathematical constant. Trouble flows like a rampant river in every direction, unceasing, relentless. It doesn’t matter how calm and happy you are, a forceful steam of struggling will wash over the back of your head to pull you under when least expected. It’s both tragic and comedic.
Regrettably, the euphoric feeling is short-lived. It is not as constant as difficulties.
But that is a good thing. Think about it. Do you honestly want to sit within a continuing aura of peacefulness? I don’t. I imagine it like being tickled. Sure, it’s fun … for a little bit. But in short order, it morphs into irritation and can be awful if it continues further. I remember a couple of times as a kid when I was trapped and unable to stop being tickled. It was horrific.
Knowing I’m where I should be and that condition lasting for a long time would result in enduring boredom. It would be akin to listening to music that doesn’t move, remaining as a single non-fundamental tone with no underlying partials to give it warmth, and has no rhythm. Just one piercing, unwavering tone. How long before we tire of that?
No wonder that contentment is a brief glimpse of encouragement. Think of it as your favorite flower popping into view, or its aroma wafting about, building your esteem to a dizzying height, and ending in an ability to function as you should. If that doesn’t work for you, consider a luxurious hug with someone you love, your spouse, child, or pet. It could be a delicious memory. The places we find encouragement are abundant.
That contentment could also show achievement, growing past varied difficulties and on to another step of development—a short basking in the sun.
Visions are ways that help us work and achieve reinforcement of our best selves. Instead of lying stagnant, I prefer insight into my being.
Conquering your doubts simply by trundling through your existence is possible. However, you may not desire that. The snatches of insight tell you that your position is right, helping by simply shedding nuggets of peace of mind.
What do you think about this? Do these portents only reinforce serious ideals? Perhaps not. I posit they connect with all aspects of life—humor, tragedy, wisdom, love, patience, et al. I think of all the laughter, crying, sage advice, and more. They are a welcome part of life, little treats to help us revel in life.
Remember, all things are vibrations, sounds, and music. We are all the same in that regard; no one, no thing, is different. The strands of music that create the Universe build enormous variations; why should we suppose any of them would be out of bounds? We all travel through our lives moving, gaining, and achieving what our Fundamental selves point toward. The musical threads that comprise the content visions above stem from our Fundamental selves.
We can pay attention to what we do, or waddle along in a Hellenistic existence, ignoring our inner self, until we run across a cusp that uncovers the real you.
